THE CALL FOR MINISTRY

TEXT: Hebrews 5:4 - "Let no man therefore takes this honor for himself, but when called by God, as did Aaron"

THESIS:
Every Christian can preach and spread the gospel should do it;Preaching the gospel is both a right and a duty for every Christian; But there is a specific call to the ministry of teaching, pastoring and leading the church of God, and no man taketh this honor to himself, but when called.INTRODUCTION:
The words used in the Bible to call: In VT the Hebrew word, arq [qara] and in the NT the Greek word kalew [Kaleo], have the following meanings:Naming a thing or a person (Genesis 48:16, Acts 11:26)The act of inviting or soliciting (Ex 2:7)Appointed to any office (Ex 31:2)Create, produce things through the power of the word, or by an act of will (Romans 4:17, Ezekiel 36:29)Invite someone to assume a duty, by word or by the driving power of the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 22:12, Proverbs 1:24, Mt 22, 14)Invitation to sinners to a state of grace through the preaching of the gospel. (Romans 8:28, II Timothy 1:9)First question of the ministry: You were actually called to preach the gospel full time? Those who are not called by God to exercise the pastoral or missionary ministry will do great harm if they want to enter the ministry just for vanity.I - DISTINCTIVE NATURE OF THE MINISTRY OF FULL TIME
Every true Christian is called to preach the gospel (I Peter 2:9), because every believer is baptized in the Holy Spirit and received from him the ability to witness (Acts 1:8)Christ is the Lord of the Harvest and the work he puts each in its specific function, giving the gift sure to fulfill every function in your church (Matt. 9:38, Ephesians 4:11-16)Matthew 9:38 - "Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into his harvest."
Men and women receive a call to serve in ministry in a specific area and each one tries to be faithful in what was called. The women were expressly forbidden to teach publicly in the church (I Timothy 2:12, I Corinthians 14:34) to His teaching ministry is with children and other women (Proverbs 31:26, Titus 3:3-5)Men who have the ability to preach, to preach whenever it arises opportunity. - But this is a call to preach occasionally, unlike the call of the minister who must live preaching, this being his magnum opus, exclusive and prioritized.1 Corinthians 9:14 - "Thus hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel;"
This is a study for those who preach and live the Gospel, having been called and all works separadosde secularespara dedicate themselves exclusively to the ministry of the Word. The minister of the gospel (pastor or missionary) have a duty to give full time and exclusively for the ministry of the Word in order to perform well his ministry, and that is what God requires of him.
II Timothy 2:4 "No soldier on service gets involved in the affairs of this life, because your goal is to meet him who enlisted him."
Acts 6:2 - "Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said: It is not reasonable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables."
Wherefore God also requires churches that meet its role of providing loving and correctly the needs of the Minister, whom God calls to serve them so unique and selfless.I Corinthians 9:11 - "If we sowed unto you spiritual things, we collect from you will be very material goods?"
I Timothy 5:17-18 - "be counted worthy of double honor the elders who rule well, especially those who labor in word and doctrine. For the Scripture says: Do not muzzle the ox when it treads the grain. And again: The laborer is worthy of his hire. "
These are the man of God puts a heavier burden that exist on earth, and through Peter says:I Peter 5:2 - "Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking care of it"
Spurgeon, one of the greatest Baptist preachers and pastors, referring to the work of the ministry said:"Now, not all of a church may oversee or govern, some have to be addressed or ruled. And we believe that the Holy Spirit in the church of God means some to act as superintendents, and others to undergo surveillance will of others for your own good. Not all are called to labor in word and doctrine, or to be priests, or to exercise the office of bishop. Nor should all aspire to these works, since nowhere does the necessary gifts are promised to all. But those who like the apostle (Paul), believe that given "the ministry" [II Cor 4:1], must be dedicated to this important occupations. "
On the folly of wanting to be a pastor or missionary without being called or to be sure of the divine call, Spurgeon says:"No man should meddle in the flock like a shepherd: it must have its eyes on the Supreme Pastor, and wait for His sign and His order. Before one takes the position of ambassador of God, must wait for call from above. If you do not, but if in a hurry to launch the sacred office, the Lord says he and others like it: "I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, and did not bring any benefit to this people, saith the Lord" (Jer. .23:32)
II - WHAT V.T. SAYS ON THE DIVINE CALL
- The prophets [OT ministers] all based their ministry on specific divine call:
The call of Isaiah: "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us ... Here am I, send me" (Isaiah 6:8)The call of Jeremiah: "Thus came to me the word of the Lord, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee ... Then said I, Ah Lord God! Behold, I say nothing, because I am a child. But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child, because wherever I send you, you will, and it will say how to send ... "(Jer. 1:4-10)The call of Ezekiel: "And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and talk with you ... sent you on to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me till this very day ... Son of man tell him my words "(Ezekiel 2:1-3, 3:1-4)The preachers of the NT must're so sure of their heavenly calling and vocation as well as were the prophets of the OTIII - WHAT N.T. SAYS ON THE DIVINE CALL
Nobody thinks that the call of ministers today are pure illusion or imagination of them peculiar to the work of teaching and direction of the church.MINISTERS TO DATA NAMES REQUIRING PREVIOUS VOCATIONAmbassadors for Christ - An ambassador comes into existence only after the call of the government he represents, and if you try to do this without calling will result in ridicule (II Cor 5:18-19)Stewards of the mysteries of Christ - A steward is someone who takes care of someone else's property, and if you want to take care of someone else's property without due displease called the owner of the same (I Cor 4:1).So there must be the call [permit] before anyone can become a legitimate bishop, "steward of the house of God" (1:7 Tt.)
Angel means messenger - and how men can be heralds of Christ, but by his election and ordination?MINISTER OF WHAT WAS REQUIRED PROOF THAT THIS WAS A CALL- Do not tell the minister (pastor or missionary) must prove that:
Titorecebeu the requirement to recognize it as ministers only those who give evidence of their callingTitus 1:5 - "... constituísses elders, as commanded thee: If any be blameless .."
The requirement that Timothy was not hurried to recognize someone as a minister without first there was evidence of your callI Timothy 5:22 - "Do not be hasty hands. Do not become complicit in the sins of others. "
God is sovereign and decides he wants to use the toilet. chooses not to any vessel, he describes the type of vessel chosen by him:II Timothy 2:21 - "vessel unto honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work"
The call of Paul is an example of how God chooses to use the toilet.Acts 9:15 - "This is to me a chosen vessel to bear my name before the Gentiles."
The choice is of God, is He who determines the role of each in his work or Harvest,Ephesians 4:11 - "And he gave some apostles, some prophets, some evangelists and some pastors and teachers,"
No one determines for himself whether or not to be a pastor to the God who calls and is giving the pastors to their churches.Acts 20:28 - "Take heed to yourselves and to all the flock which the Holy Ghost hath made you bishops [pastors], to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood."
The true ministry must come from God and not of men - Each pastor or missionary must be able to say with Paul:Galatians 1:1 - "Paul, an apostle not from men nor through man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised Him from the dead,"
Let every pastor or missionary may see yourself as a gift from God to his church:Jeremiah 3:15 - "I will give you pastors according to mine heart, that ye feed them with knowledge and intelligence."
XIV - SIGNS HELP IDENTIFY THE DIVINE CALL
Crowds have the wrong as the call to the ministry, it can be observed in the number of people who come for pastoral ministry or missionary and fail and also the number of churches that have suffered the damaging action of false shepherds or pastors who were mistaken about the call and brought much damage to God's work.
You need to make sure the call of God, before venturing into such an important and demanding work. In fact, the Bible has it as the most excellent work, but that will require more responsibility, and that will attract the greatest dangers.
AN INTENSE DESIRE AND ABSORBENT PERFORMING THE WORK.to "To see a real call to the ministry there must be:
An irresistible, incomtrolável, ardent and violent thirst to tell others what God has done for our souls.Alleine - Great soul-winner, someone said of him:"He had infinite and insatiable greed for the conversion of souls."
c) Spurgeon said: "Do not enter the ministry if you can do without it" - "... The Word of God must be a fire in our bones, otherwise, if we venture to the ministry, we will be unhappy about it, we will be unable to support various forms of denial of its own, and will pay little service to those that minister "
This desire must be the result of reflection. Not to be a sudden and thoughtless impulse; This must be continuous, unconditional - to resist the tempting offers of wealth and easy life, trials, and a thousand traps that the enemy is capable of arming.A desire to be totally disinterested - Seeking only the glory of God;It should be an undying desire and growing-must be such as to stay with us in spite of anything;MUST HAVE ABILITY TO TEACH AND CERTAIN OTHER ACTION NECESSARY QUALITIES TO PUBLIC OFFICE.- The minister can only handle up and fortify himself in grace (strength) as amended in its call and this call is not from above, that has no hold on (II Timothy 2:1, 1 Thessalonians :7-8)
No one should consider himself called to preach until they prove they can speak in publicSome people simply do not have the gift to teach and preach. You can improve a lot if studying homiletics to be a preacher occasionally, but without becoming a preacher, has the gift of teaching and preaching is to want to defy common sense. There are several things that disable someone to preach in public: Lack of voice, stuttering, voice thin and nasal, fear and dread of the public mind that not rationing in an organized manner, lack of courage to tell the truth, etc ...His personality must have some essential characteristics:Intelligence and Piety;Gentle manners and amiable quality;Courage and fortitude;Gifts for managing the work;It should be counselor and a parentMust have all the characteristics of I Timothy 3:2-7, Titus 1:6-9)We need to see the aspirant held a number of conversions in their effortsOr you can conclude that the made a mistake -
- It can return the best way to find.
As a common Christian worker can continue working in his ministry who is having success or not;As a minister can not I make sure your call until you can see the fruits of their labor can not see the fruits of their labor. It is necessary that his preaching is acceptable to the people of God following the sound doctrineCONCLUSION
The Preacher's Bible Targeting:It is someone who has called the inner part of the Holy Spirit and chamadoou recognition outside the church, and was duly consecrated to proclaim the gospel, (Acts 13:2-4);As Shepherd (Administration, Team Build and the Flock):He is made Bishop (administrator), Elder (director), Shepherd (master) by the Holy Spirit to shepherd the church of God. (Acts 20:28, I Peter 5:1-4, Ephesians 4:11))He has a commission sublime and high responsibility: Shepherding the flock of God (I Peter 5:2)He is the guide of the flock, and guides primarily through the preaching of the Word (Hebrews 13:7)He watches the almasorientando them and alerting them to the pregaçãoda Word (Heb. 13:17)In has a target: A fully mature church serving the Lord wholeheartedly. As a pastor he is a gift of Christ to the church, whose mission is to equip (prepare) the saints for the full spiritual maturity and to be fully qualified (provided) to exercise the Christian ministry. It does this by being a pastor-teacher, or a master in preaching the Word of God. (Eph 4:11-13)As Mission (church planter) and Evangelist (preacher of the gospel full time). He is a messenger (not a standalone, it sends itself)It has a permanent field, the "world", or more specifically, "every creature"First sent by Christ (Jn 20:21) - "I send you"Secondly by the Holy Spirit - "sent ..." (Acts 13:2,3)Thirdly the church (Acts 13:2) - "... and separate me"It has a plan that can not escape - "Being a witness" - Acts 1:8You should start where you are and go continuously advancing as God opens doors. It has a target: Found a missionary church that matures enough to become autonomous to take care of herself and for herself to continue the missionary work of establishing new churches.
