THERE ARE SIMILARITIES between the trial and the trial of the men of God in regard to the penalties for the crimes committed . To this end, the mitigating and aggravating circumstances are taken into account .
A murderer , for example , may have aggravated his sentence :
( 1 ) whether there was concealment of the corpse;
( 2 ) if the crime was committed with cruelty , that classifies as hate crime ;
( 3 ) whether there was premeditation ;
( 4 ) if the killer has a criminal record , and so on .
The penalty will be mitigated :
( 1 ) if there was no intent to kill ;
( 2 ) if the offense occurred for reasons of passion ;
( 3 ) whether the defendant suffers from some form of mental illness ;
( 4 ) if committed in self-defense ;
( 5 ) if the offender is under 21 and older than 70 ;
( 6 ) have confessed spontaneously and other
" Dosimetry pen " is the calculation of the punishment prescribed for authors of any type of crime , and gives up after completion of the sentencing process .
Such mitigating and aggravating factors are also present in the judgments of God . Consider:
" If we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth , there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins , but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation , which shall devour the adversaries " ( Heb. 10:26 ) .
Here aggravated sentences depending on whether the agent has full knowledge of God's law .
" For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ , they are again entangled therein, and overcome , them became the last state worse than the first " ( 2 Peter 2:20 ) .
There is a greater punishment for those who have a bad record , which are hardened in disobedience to the laws of the Lord .
" And that servant, which knew his lord 's will , and prepared not himself , neither did according to his will , shall be beaten with many stripes " (Luke 12:47 ) .
" But he that knew not , and did commit things worthy of stripes shall be beaten with few stripes ... " (Luke 12:48 ) .
" Woe to you , scribes and Pharisees , hypocrites ! For ye devour widows' houses , a pretense make long prayers . So will suffer stricter judgment " ( Mt 23:14 ) .
" How much worse punishment do you think he will deserve who foot the Son of God , and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified , and has insulted the Spirit of grace ? " ( Heb 10:29 ) .
The last four cases above reveal that the divine judgment there are different degrees of punishment.
As the judgment of men , the size of the punishment , in the divine plan , is directly proportional to the size of the sin committed , subject to the mitigating and aggravating factors , explained above . However , the application of divine punishment takes up , as it would be in absolute perfection .
