And if you love those who love you, what reward have ye? For sinners also love those that love them. Luke 6:32
I thought of writing something brief today about the power of love and kindness. The snake lives in punctuality, flexibility, work, and in this fast pace, many of us go without realizing who crosses our path, who needs a smile, a word. We live apologizing "not have time" and time seems to be just for us. Observe this parable called "The Sun and the Wind":
The Sun and the Wind were arguing about which of the two was stronger. The Wind said:
- I will prove that I am the strongest. See that old man who comes downstairs with a coat? I bet I can make him take his coat faster than you.
The Sun then retreated behind a cloud and the wind blew up almost become a hurricane, but the more he blew, the more the old man held his cloak beside him. Finally the wind calmed down and quit blowing. The sun came out from behind the clouds and smiled kindly at the old man. Immediately he rubbed his face and pulled his coat. The sun then told the wind:
- The kindness and friendship are always stronger than fury and strength
Stronger is one who loves more, who cares for the other, as in the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-37). Who today can smile more, talk, thank you for "small" gestures, saying "I love you" to those who are on our side, pray for enemies, that we may be the sun parable to calm troubled hearts and make you smile more clenched lips .
